HOST: You know, I know Hunter fans. I know about their great products. You guys have surprised me. You've got two products here I don't know about.
REP: Well, Scott, let me tell you about these. These are our new Jetstream family of products. (HOST: Right.) This is a portable fan product. Unlike our ceiling fans that you have to install, this is a very, very easy, out-of-the-box, ready-to-go product.
HOST: As a builder, I'm used to the great Hunter fans, after I'm finished and put 'em in the bedrooms. (REP: Sure.) These are the products I can use everyday during construction.
REP: Absolutely. You can either use these during construction or if you're a weekend warrior and you want to do this uh in your garage, these help you make the job easier. One of the um -- One thing we started talking to customers about, asking them you know, what keeps you from spending more time in your garage? What keeps you from spending more hours on the jobsite? And what we found out is heat is basically the number-one thing. (HOST: Yeah, I agree. Yeah.) Number-one thing. So, a couple of things --
HOST: We've got many reasons to be out there. (LAUGHS.) Let's just be comfortable while we're out there.
REP: We're looking for one to keep you from it. We're looking for one. So with this -- this product in particular -- This is our garage fan. (HOST: They're heavy-duty.) Absolutely. (HOST: I mean that is tough.) You're looking at about thirty-five pounds here. So, you know, all the Hunter quality that we're known for in ceiling fans goes into this product, as well. This is an eighteen-inch, high-velocity fan.
Now this isn't your daddy's Hunter fan. (HOST: Right.) This is a new, high-velocity fan. (HOST: This one is going out in the garage, right?) Exactly. So you're talking about, you're gonna get more air noise. It's not the quiet-for-life. You're going to get noise because we're moving a ton of air with these products. (HOST: Right. Okay.) This thing is very, very easy. This bracket right here -- (HOST: Bracket for the ceiling.) Exactly. Just goes up, couple screws, mounted into the building structure.
HOST: It doesn't have to be on a ceiling? It can be on a wall?
REP: Actually, no. This particular product is geared for the ceiling. (HOST: Okay.) Geared for the ceiling. It stores and operates on the ceiling based on these hooks. (HOST: Right.) These hooks will clip into -- (HOST: It's heavy-duty, too.) Absolutely, man. Absolutely. When this thing is on the ceiling, it will spin three-hundred-and-sixty degrees. It'll also tilt a hundred-and-eighty degrees. So, with this one product -- (HOST: Wow. Whenever you need it, right?) Right. Any corner of the garage where you might need airflow, you can get it with this thing.
HOST: And I'm noticing we had a light attachment here, too.
REP: We've got a flexible task light that's integrated into the product with a separate on/off control. You've got room for a fifty-watt R20 bulb in here. The switch is easily located right here on the bottom of the product, (HOST: Great.) so it's easy access.
And one of the things we were talking to with our contractor and consumers about these products is you know, for the garage, I don't have room to put anything else in my garage. I need something that's up and out of the way. So, with this ceiling bracket -- This thing mounts and stores and operates up out of your way, and it plugs in. (HOST: Right.) You know, if you've got a garage-door opener, you've got an extra outlet in your ceiling. (HOST: You've got your outlet up there already.) Exactly.
HOST: Okay. And tell us about this other guy we've got down here.
REP: This is uh -- This is also one of our Jetstream products. And this is brand-new that's just coming out this summer. (HOST: Uh-huh.) Um, this is our Sherpa Cart Fan. Sherpa, you know, these guys carry anything anywhere you need it to go. (HOST: I know somebody -- I've got a dolly.) This'll do the exact same thing. (HOST: Okay.) This dolly right here has a rated capacity of about two-hundred pounds -- (HOST: Uh-huh.) to help you move paintbuckets, toolboxes, (HOST: It's nice and light, too.) anything. Exactly. We've put it nice and wide so that if you do have larger materials, you can haul those around the jobsite. Again, we've got an eighteen-inch blade in this thing. And this thing really hums. It really moves the air. Um, couple of other features that we've integrated into this product are the halogen worklights. (HOST: Worklights.) Yeah, halogen worklights.
HOST: So I've got three products that I use on a daily basis all put into one package.
REP: Absolutely. So you've got one thing to grab out of the truck and move onto the site, and it moves there easily. We've put -- you know the -- a hundred-and-fifty-watt lights on here. The bulbs come included in the product. (HOST: Uh-huh.) They've got their own separate on/off controls. So if you need a little bit of light or a lot of light, we've got you covered either way. (HOST: Yeah.) Controls for this one are right on top, nice and easy access. We've also integrated an electrical box -- (HOST: No kidding.) with other outlets.
HOST: So you've got extra outlets here where you can plug in this and use it as a (LAUGHS) uh, uh strip with other tools.
REP: Exactly. We talked to a lot of guys that said, you know, I need a place to charge my cellphone and keep it close (HOST: Yeah.) so I can keep in contact with my customers. (HOST: And all their batteries. Rechargeable batteries always all over the place.) Need a place -- Exactly. Need a place to charge their batteries and all that. One of the other interesting features about this one, with these clamps right here, you can actually raise the frame of this fan. It'll bring the fan up to thirty-six inches off the floor, and then the fan can actually be tipped back and you can exhaust air or fumes out of the room or pull fresh air back in.
HOST: Now if my homeowners -- new homeowners see this in here, they may make me leave it with the house cause this has got a little bit of everything on it.
REP: And you know, this is great. This is great for the working guy. This is great for the weekend warrior. It's just a new line of products that we've come out with, and we're putting the Hunter name and quality behind it. But we're just trying to put something out there that's a little more uh --
HOST: Well, I can't imagine any contractor that can't use one or both of these products.
REP: I can't either.
